Joe Cross is a juice rock star. He lost 100 pounds in 60 days just drinking juice. He also cured his chronic urticaria and no longer needs to take prescription drugs (see Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead). Now Joe helps other people reboot their bodies.
We talk with Joe about his new movie The Kids Menu, overcoming our culture’s obsession with food, the original Death By Fat concept, truck driver Phil, the importance of community, how to improve flavor of juices if you don’t like them, migraine headaches, why the first 3 days of a reboot are the worst and why you feel amazing after that, smoothies vs juices, Brian Wansink saying frozen vegetables are better than fresh, how to save money buying bruised fruit, food poisoning from not washing produce, HPP and Evolution Fresh drinks, poo photos, fecal transplants, and smoking.
Also in this episode
Sisner Lauren is on day three of a 10-day juice fast. Jake brings us some Henry’s Hard Orange Soda drinks to see if we’re allergic to them. And we threaten once again to visit Shep Gordon, the guy from Supermensch.
